At St. James Church in Ljubljana, we will continue the enriched Sunday evening liturgy throughout the month of May with artistic imagery, meditation, and sacred music. Holy Masses will begin at 6:30 PM.
On Sunday, May 17, the Mass will feature organist Dalibor Miklavčič. Works by composers Alojzij Mav, Dalibor Miklavčič, and Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed.
On Sunday, May 24, the St. James Ensemble will perform in the following ensemble: Mojca Jerman and Katarina Pavlič-Krapež, violins; Dalibor Miklavčič, Renaissance-Baroque organ and artistic direction. The program will feature Pentecost sacred music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
On Sunday, May 31, the St. James Ensemble will again perform in the following ensemble: Jure Gradišnik, trumpet; Mojca Jerman and Katarina Pavlič-Krapež, violins; Dalibor Miklavčič, Renaissance-Baroque organ and artistic direction. They will perform sacred music by Venetian Baroque composers, contemporaries of the sculptor Francesco Robba.
